A second tool, for squares and rectangles cut on a shear. Type or paste a cut list and get every cut in order with its back gauge setting, an operator view for the shear, and a PDF cut plan.
What's new in Nestor
What has been added to Nestor, the free online nesting tool for laser, plasma, waterjet, router and shear, newest first.
Move parts by hand
After a nest, open any sheet full screen and drag or turn a part. Nestor marks a part that overlaps another or runs off the sheet, and warns when one is closer than the part spacing.
Saved nests
Save a finished nest to your account and open it again later, as it was: settings, parts, sheets and the nest itself.
Full width, then drag an edge
Nests pack across the full width of the sheet by default. Drag the end of the nest, or type a limit, and Renest packs inside it.
CNC router
Pick a router and its bit, and the part spacing is set to the bit plus 1/16 inch. Cut time estimates for the router come from published chip loads.
Saved parts, in folders
Every DXF you add to a nest is saved to your account, ready for the next one. Sort them into folders if you like.
Cut time estimates
A rough machine time for each nested sheet on a laser, plasma, waterjet or CNC router, by material and thickness.
